The Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) is the fundamental law governing the safety of machinery in the European Union market. This law requires all equipment covered by it to be fully compliant with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR) listed in Annex I of the directive. The First Step in Safety: Risk Assessment
The starting point for the process of compliance with Annex I requirements is to conduct a comprehensive Risk Assessment on the equipment.
